We also drove up to Santa Cruz Lake where my husband's uncle used to take him fishing. Such a beautiful location and so nice to get to see this place that's so special to my husband.

Last weekend was beautiful, sunny, warm - perfect! Hubby and I went for a drive up to the Sanctuario de Chimayo - I had never been so it was really a treat. Since it was Sunday, it was hard to get photos that didn't have people in the frames but we managed to get a few nice pictures.

During our walk, a storm was threatening, and we got some nice shots of storm clouds. In one gallery, this chair caught my eye. Also like the purple flowers...

A couple weekends ago, hubby and I wandered around downtown taking photos of artwork and flowers. I also bought an orchid at one of the local nurseries, even though I wasn't really looking to purchase one! Love the color in this one and am glad the blossoms are lasting so long! And aren't these tulips gorgeous?! They almost glowed red in the sun!

I'm not sure if you can see it, but the first picture is an art piece comprised of nylon threads - to see these in person was very interesting, especially the way the light hit the fibers. Love the chicken that was sitting near the doorway of one gallery. And the sculpture that looks like a sliver of the moon with a face - that was an awesome piece of work! Lots of fun things to see as we wandered around... :-)

A couple weeks ago, hubby and I wandered around on Canyon Road to see what was new in the art galleries. I enjoyed taking photos of benches, a staircase, these interesting shutters and quirky things, like the silhouette of the old guy with a cane that had been spray painted onto a stucko wall :-)

I'm always so glad when spring arrives. Kinda feel like I'm re-awakening after seeking shelter from the cold winter :-) Love seeing the flowers starting to bloom and looking at clear blue skies!

Happy Mother's Day to all our mom's! Hope you're having a wonderful day! My sister sent me a couple pictures of them enjoying dinner with our mom today, and it was fun to see the happiness on their faces. Hope you all are enjoying your day! We enjoyed dinner with my hubby's brother and sister-in-law and are now enjoying a fire in the fireplace as it's a rainy day (we're grateful for the moisture, and the flowers are blooming like crazy!)
